This portal is an entryway into the world of active learning at UT Arlington. It is an interactive portal filled with shared resources, a wealth of information, and opportunities to interact with and learn from others.
In addition to providing general information about active learning at UT Arlington and the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) entitled Active Learning: Pathways to Higher Order Thinking at UT Arlington, this portal also allows:
* Faculty to access resources on various active learning efforts and techniques on increasing higher order thinking skills, course development, and funding opportunities;
* Students to learn of various courses and how active learning can aide in their educational pursuits; and
* Parents and alumni to learn about how active learning experiences enhance both students’ educational experiences and their preparation for life and careers after graduating.
This portal also offers many resources related to active learning and developing higher order thinking skills as well as news of various opportunities on campus (e.g., speakers, presentations, teaching circles).
This site should be treated as an interactive portal to share efforts and learn from each other.
